By the decree of the president of Ukraine dated June, 19 2002, No-560/2002 our University was awarded the highest mark of distinction- National status. It possesses the IV (highest) level of accreditation.
Now training of specialists is carried out at 55 chairs, where the competent scientific-pedagogical staff works. Among them 122 doctors of science, 81 professors, 17 academicians, 5 members-correspondents of Academies of science and 579candidates of science, 323 associate professors.

Admission conditions for foreign citizens
All foreign citizens having senior secondary school certificate or higher university/ college degree from a recognized academic institution are eligible for admission to National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia (recognized by WHO). The language of instruction are Ukrainian, English and Russian.
Foreign citizens who don’t know the Ukrainian/ Russian language or having incomplete command of it may study the Ukrainian/ Russian language at the preparatory Faculty of the university along with the pre-university course.
Faculties available at the University:
Faculties of Medicine (specialties: General Medicine, Medical Psychology, Pediatrics); Dentistry; pharmacy (specialties: Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy);
Preparatory Faculty for foreign citizens;
Postgraduate studies in 53 Medical specialties.
The official period of admission:
To the Preparatory Faculty is August, 15 to November, 15 of the current year; to main Faculties is August, 15 to October, 01 of the current year; for the postgraduate studies is all year round.
The use of the university’s libraries in included into tuition fee. The university has 5 hostels, 4 canteens, 7 buffets. During the period of education a place in a room of the students’ hostel, furnished accordingly to the social standards is given for the extra charge.
The tuition fee does not include obligatory medical insurance and medical examination which are paid by the students themselves on arrival to the university (approximately 100 USD). Also students pay for their transfer from the airport “Boryspil” to Vinnytsia (approx. 500 USD).
To get direct admission to the first year of study without undergoing the preparatory faculty candidates have to pass interview in Biology (Faculties of Medicine and dentistry) or in Chemistry (Faculty of Pharmacy) and interview in Russian or English (with English as medium if instruction).
Studies at the facilities of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and the Preparatory Faculty start from the 1st of September. Therefore it is desirable for the student to arrive in Vinnytsia a week before the education commences.

-senior secondary school certificate copy;
– Consent to personal data collection and processing.
After obtaining this information we shall consider the point of issuing the invitation letter for you. On obtaining the invitation to study, you should apply for student visa at the Ukrainian Embassy abroad.
In order to obtain visa and further concluding the tuition contract with the university, you should submit to the Embassy of Ukraine and to the University the following documents:
1) Filled in questionnaire;
2) Original and attested translation of senior secondary school certificate or higher University/College degree with subjects studied and marks/grades obtained;
3) Original and attested translation of certificate of general medical examination verified by official medical institution from your country of living and dated not more than two months before coming to Ukraine. It should contain the final conclusion of medical authority on absence of contraindications for medical studies and also results for blood test, urine, stool, malaria, chest x-ray analyses;
4) Insurance policy for granting urgent medical aid(except foreign citizens from countries that have agreement with Ukraine on free medical assistance), will be done at the University after arrival;
5) Original and attested translation of birth certificate;
6) 10 photos(size 4*6 cm);
7) Return ticket with open date of coming back to home country valid within I year.
Documents No 2,3, 5 should be authenticated in accordance with law of the county of their issuance and legalized in the appropriate Ministry and the Embassy of Ukraine. After visa obtaining and a ticket being booked you must inform your university not letter than in a week before arrival about the date and exact time of your arrival, flight number to be met in Kiev, in airport “Boryspil”.
In work with foreign citizens we take into account their regional, religious, national, individual and psychological features, active acquaintance of foreigners with the history and culture of Ukraine, national tradition, life style of modern Ukrainian youths is carried out.
At the University favorable conditions for development of student’s creative activities are realized in musical, vocal, dancing, literary etc. studios.
The use of gymnasiums, grounds is free of charge. During vacations the students can have a rest at the university base located in Vinnytsia region and by the black sea.
The University staff actively collaborates with 20 partner international higher educational institutions in 67 international educational and scientific programs.
In 2006 organizational work of the University on admission of international students was commended by 2 Diplomas of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine.
The University actively works on the point enlarging of the list of the countries which recognize the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University Diploma.

Vinnytsia is located on the banks of the river pivdennyy bug, 260 kms to the south of the capital of Ukraine Kiev (3 hours by train), 14 hours by train from Moscow and 6- form Odessa and from Lviv).
